TALENTE – Meister der Zukunft 2022<\/h2>\n
Participants who had already been selected for 2021 but were unable to exhibit due to the cancellation of the Internationale Handwerksmesse were invited to the special show “TALENTEm\u00fcnchen – Meister der Zukunft” 2022.<\/p>\n
“TALENTEm\u00fcnchen – Meister der Zukunft” presented innovative, imaginative, extraordinary and very different works in 2022, particularly in the fields of glass, ceramics, jewellery and textiles. These works also reflected the great interest in sustainability and alternative materials. <\/p>\n
All in all, an interesting and diverse selection was created that demonstrated young designers’ engagement with contemporary, highly topical themes. The aim was to reflect on various contents, to design functional, aesthetically convincing objects for everyday use, to update traditions and to strive for greater sustainability and the considered use of materials. <\/p>\n<\/div>
Current trends<\/h2><\/div><\/i><\/i><\/span>Sustainability and alternative materials<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div>\nFor example, “TALENTE – Meister der Zukunft ” showcased a variety of works dealing with material research and investigation. This involved the reuse of existing and processed materials such as leather, textiles, industrial and plastic waste. At the same time, the development of new packaging materials that are biodegradable in order to reduce the amount of plastic waste. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
<\/i><\/i><\/span>Tradition and modernity<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div>\nIn the areas of ceramics and glass, the mixture of works that attempted to find new approaches based on the existing tradition and those that endeavored to go their own way and achieve a new effect with the material was striking. There were sculptural works that showed the material to its best advantage. <\/p>\n
The attempt to combine tradition and modernity could also be found in the furniture sector. In addition to elaborate desks with drawer compartments or sculpturally designed furniture, there were modern stools that combine leather and steel with a commitment to colour or furniture created using tension belts. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

The textile section was dominated by works that deal with aspects of sustainability and multiple uses, protection and security: Warm stoles inspired by the structures of leaves, thick sweaters and headgear, children’s hats in the shape of animals, soft blankets, cozy hanging seats, imaginative masks designed to protect against air pollution.<\/p>\n
There were also fashion designs in which basic shapes were altered by embroidery, or those that were cut out of printed fabric panels and then sewn. The pandemic is a theme that was reflected both in considerations on the design of masks and in reflections on the vulnerability and fragility of the body, which were translated into motifs and textile structures. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
<\/i><\/i><\/span>Material surprises<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div>An extremely exciting selection was made in the jewellery area, comprising many different items and a wide range of materials. Recycled plastics, found objects, wood, silicone, glass beads of various shapes, quartz, various stones and metal were used, which were elaborately processed to create attractive surface effects and shapes of an often poetic character.
